PROSPECTOR

Prospector is a game about exploration and solving an over arching mystery. You play as an alien scavenger

that stumbles upon mysterious abandoned ruins on a strange planet. 

 

History

This is one of the projects I started in second year of university with two of my classmates after we had formed team Bootleg Games. I initially put together a concept for a game mechanic after being inspired by the attributes and behaviour of ferrofluids! On this project I was responsible for creating a prototype, iteratively building on the core gameplay mechanics, sand shaders, lighting, first level layout and design and puzzle mechanics. 

During this project I learnt how to create shaders using Unreal Engines' physics based materials. I also tried my hand at level lighting and creating an atmospheric environment.
